HOW TO REACH

By Air

Rishikesh City is very close to Dehradun's Jolly Grant Airport (about 15 km). It is small, beautiful and recently renovated airport which is handling flights from Delhi.

By Train

A Railway Line connects Rishikesh to Haridwar but these trains are not superfast trains. Pilgrims should take the train to Haridwar and then continue the way by bus (Around 45 Minutes) / By Taxi Car (Around 30 Minutes) or by Common Auto-Rickshaw (Around 40 Minutes).

From Delhi there are number of trains to Haridwar including Shatabadi Express, Jan Shatabdi, AC Special Express, Mussoorie Express. Travel agents located at Swarg Ashram and Lakshman Jhula book train tickets for onward journeys, which is very easier than going to Rishikesh railway station to buy a ticket. However, the ticket can also be got from Raiwala, a small stop between Rishikesh and Haridwar, but this station is very small and the trains only stop here for a few seconds  and it is advisable to make arrangements in advance.

By Bus

Rishikesh is around 230 km away from Delhi and is well connected with bus services. A travel by bus take about 5-7 hours. An AC Volvo Bus charge about Rs 200-500.
